    Went to maverick with a group coupon (Groupon). They would not honor the groupon because the fine print said that it was available for new customers only and since I was in the system, they wouldn’t honor it. Also, they claimed that the groupon was available only Monday- Wednesday which was not in the fine print. These people did whatever it took not to allow me to use the coupon. They wouldn’t even allow me to use the groupon as credit towards a haircut.

    In the effort of trying to attract new customers, they have just lost one in their sneaky ways.

    I purchased a groupon for a haircut and made an appointment. The day of the appointment something came up and I had to cancel, I tried to call but it went straight to voicemail. The next day I tried to rebook and the lady on the phone was extremely rude to me. When she scheduled me in for the afternoon she then told me that if cancelled again she would not take me as a customer. I told her I had already paid for the hair cut through groupon and she told me she hasn’t gotten paid from groupon and wouldn’t honor the coupon. So we called groupon and got it refunded. Clearly she doesn’t understand the purpose of using a service like groupon and has lost a customer before I even got a chance to walk in the door.

    I also purchased a groupon. I called to make an appointment and spoke to the rudest man I have ever met. He told me that the groupon doesn’t apply the week before Christmas. It is not written in the fine print of the groupon, but he said he can use his discretion. He actually said that groupon “roped” him into this deal, which obviously does not make sense. When I asked for an extension, he said he had given out a lot and was so annoyed by it. I got a return by Groupon but I will NEVER go to this salon and will NEVER refer anyone there. If they were this rude about groupons, they don’t deserve my business.

    I had a great experience here. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean and modern and I didn’t have the strange feeling that I sometimes get when I go to a salon. I was in and out very quickly and my hair looked great when I left. To me, that is the main thing. I will definitely go back and I will recommend all of my friends.

    My Daughter bought me a gift certificate for fathers day , for a hot towel shave and a haircut. no issues with the hair cut but the “barber” had no idea how to do a shave, at the end one side of my face was scrapped raw while the other still had a days growth of stubble. Haircut again? maybe. A shave? never again.

    @ Scott – who did your shave? I just made an appointment for my husband to get a hot towel shave. A little worried now.
