This was the worst and the most horrible customer service ever experienced. I purchased 3 coupons from an online site, 2 for my husband and one for me. We booked an appointment for 6:30, the salon closes at 7 (what the receptionist said). We got there the owner said you are late, you were booked for 6 and we said no we were booked for 6:30. He didn’t say anything with this pissed face expression. He had a very rude attitude and we didn’t feel welcomed at all. The owner himself did the haircut in just 5 minutes and did not give my husband a wash, it was written in the coupon (haircut and wash). He said to my husband there’s no need for a wash. The owner lied and said the salon closes at 6 and I have to go home and so I cannot give you a wash and he asked another lady can you give this guy a wash? We didn’t say anything, didn’t give him a tip, just gave him the coupon and left. I contacted the online site that I had the most horrible experience with Vertu Hair Design, they listened to my complain and said they’ll give me a cash refund for the coupons that I’ve not used and will give me points for the one I’ve used. Also, the owner was like you can only buy two for yourself and none as gifts. But when I was buying it said you can buy 2 for yourself and unlimited as gifts.
Worst experience ever!! Please don’t go to this salon you’ll ruin your haircut and your evening and waste your money. The owner doesn’t know how to run a business.
I have to agree with the previous post. Worst experiance ever. If you want to participate wiht the coupon sites, you should treat the new client with respect. They may become a valued client. If you are deceitful about appointment times and won’t honour a schedule appointment, they won’t return and won’t recommend the salon. I came in for my appointment and 2:00, they told me it was for 1:30 and didn’t have time for the rest of the day, no apologies either.
I completly agree with samberry. Save yourself the trouble and don’t go to Vertu Hair Design in Mississauga. I bought a coupon from an online site for myself and my sister. As soon we walked in I got a bad vibe from the guy (I suspect the owner). He was very rude from the start and I was unfortunate enough to have him working on my hair. After he started to wash my hair he told me we’d have to pay extra for having long hair. I was furious but while my hair’s full of shampoo I couldn’t get up and leave. There was no scalp massage, nothing. When I sat on the chair he asked me what style I wanted to which I showed him a picture of a very simple but sleek style. He cut my hair in about 5 minutes with minmal layers at the bottom and completely different to the picture. While drying my hair he left to answer the phone and stayed on for a while arguing with someone when he returned he did not apologize for walking away but rather complained about the person on the phone. After he’d dried it I told him that it wasn’t like the picture and he said that’s because your hair is frizzy and walked away. He didn’t show me the back, he didn’t put any product in it. I’ve had a much more complex style (Reverse bob) done by an intermediate stylist which turned out really well so I know the issue is most definitely not with my hair. I contacted the site and they credited me for the coupons. It has still left a bad taste and I wonder why they would bother to offer coupons if they’re going to be so rude to their customers. I certainly would never go back and have already recommend others to NEVER go there.
I love that this is not a huge chain that barely remembers my name and my hair.
I tried them after finding them on teambuy and now have found my go-to salon! Their colouring work is perfection!!!
Wow. Was just about to purchase the online special… a long way away, but seems like a good deal. SO GLAD I found this post. I will definitely not purchase this 3-deal special.
You have to know that part of the reason they offer such deep discounts is that they are hurting for money… if service is bad, management is bad, you can understand why. Just sayin’
I thought the service and stafff were fantastic . They took time to listen to what you wanted . I be been to other places and found this salon to be very relaxing. Keep up the good working looking to coming back.
I had the best experience ever at Vertu. I was welcomed by a very polite young lady at the frot desk and asked me if i wanted coffee while i waited for my apt. My colour technician took the time to study my hair and make sure we get the best results possible. And let me say this..she got it bang on!..I am now a regular client and love that they remember exactly what i want everytime I go!…
I experienced Vertu Hairdesign for the first time recently . I was very pleased with the service . The salon was very professional and made me feel comfortable . Their knowledge behind hair made me feel like I did not have to worry . They did exactly as I wanted and bonus , on a timely manner. I will definately be returning to the salon and encouraging others . They offer discounts if u refer people , pre book and also discounts on people who are willing to be hair models. 🙂 good job team !
I visited this salon for the first time a couple of months ago. I can honestly say it was the best hair salon experience I have ever had. The colour that the owner chose to put on my hair was stunning, I have never had so many wonderful comments about my hair before. It just shined. He chose a couple of highlights at the same time and the colours just blended beautifully. The cut was great – it really framed my face.
Overall impression, everyone in the salon was extremely friendly, everyone seem to get along and created a really great environment.
I would highly recommend visiting this hair salon – as I can promise you, you will definitely will not return to your old one!
